Help me find a style for the summer

So summer time means very hot weather, and that also means lots of humidity. I want to wear my natural hair all summer long but the frizz is killing me. I like wearing my hair straight for when I go out on the weekends but all the humidity in the air and especially in the club just makes my hair frizz and puff up. Also the heat makes me sweat out my edges so i just be looking like a hot mess. Maybe I need a new flat iron because my hair never looks bouncy and shiny like when other naturals straighten their hair. I've been using a straightening & heat protectant mist which makes my hair shine but in about 30 mins my hair still gets poofy smh. And I would love to rock my twist outs all summer but I've never felt comfortable with short hair, maybe it draws too much attention to my face idk. But even my twist outs gets extremely frizzy and the curls are undefined. Now on some blogs they say unravel your twists with oil so I'll try that next time and hopefully it will work. I need a way though to stretch out my curls since my hair shrinks so much. My hair just gets so frustrating, it never wants to lay flat but stick outwards smh. If anyone has any suggestions on how I can stop the frizz let me know ASAP thank you!!

About me & starting my hair journey

Sorry this post is crazy long

Hello ladies so I just wanted to tell you a little bit about me and my hair and about me starting my hair journey!! So first off I'm almost 23 years old and for most of my life my mom and older sister have been my personal hair stylists. I have been getting relaxers since elementary school, first started off with Just For Me perms and around the end of middle school moved up to adult perms, trying many different brands that my mom would pick up from Wal-Mart or Sally's Beauty Supply Store. Also when I was younger I would rock the poetic justice/Moesha braids. For special occasions my sister would glue in a few tracks when my hair was relaxed. As I got older and entered high school I would constantly beg my mom for a full weave because I would see both her and my older sister get sew ins from time to time. I believe either my freshman or sophomore year was the first time I got my first weave. I would wear my weaves for about 3 months, let my hair breath for a coulple of days then get another weave. So basically I did very little to my hair, and I wasnt taking the best care of it, I would forget to wrap it at night, I didn't wash it as often as I should of. Oh and before 10th grade my hair was about APL and for some odd reason in 10th grade I wanted to do something drastic and I got my hair cut to about EL. Big Mistake, I didn't like the cut and my hair seemed forever to grow so that's why I started wearing weaves.
When I was getting ready to leave for college I was going to be 4 hours away from my family so I had no idea how I was gonna keep up with my hair without my mom and sister reminding me to take care of it. I decided to stick with getting weaves, I would get one at the end of summer right before school started, then another one during Christmas break and then another one during spring break. This plan seemed to work out for me. The next year I transferred to another university closer to my parents house, so instead of 4 hours away I was now 2 hours away. This is when my hair started getting real bad. Because of the weaves my hair had actually started growing but because the braids were so tight my edges were breaking off. Before this school year started I got another weave. For some reason I don't really remember what happened to my hair but towards the end of the school year I was wearing my own hair, I really didn't know what to do with it so there was so much breakage. I would forget to wrap my hair to night and that was the biggest problem. By that spring my hair had gone from almost back to shoulder length back up to ear length. My hair was nappy and unmanageable. My sister came up to visit and relaxed my hair for the last time. This was in May 2009. Over the next year I wore mostly weaves. And in 2011 my sister introduced me to lace fronts. During this time I noticed my face started breaking out around my forehead where I usually wear my bangs, not necessarily pimples becuase they were smaller but it was really starting to freak me out. The same thing started happening to my sister, we assumed it was because the synthetic hair from the lace fronts so I officially stopped wearing lace fronts and wore only my natural hair this was in March 2012. My face soon started to clear up. Also under my lace fronts I would wash and condition my hair and wear it in braids.
So in March 2012 I was officially team natural. And in October 2011 me and some of my friends started taking prenatal pills becuase we heard of the benefits of hair growth. And I was noticing a difference. My hair seemed to be getting longer and also thicker. But I had horrible split ends and breakage, so my hair couldnt grow properly. So from March to June I switched between twist outs and flat ironing my hair about once a week. And during this time I was doing a lot of research on youtube and blogs on how other African American woman were wearing their hair and how they were keeping it healthy. So on June 15th 2012 the day before my college graduation I started my hair care routine and I'm still tweaking it trying to get the healthiest hair.
So now in the 2nd week of July i'm still constantly reserching new hairstyles, products to add to my hair regimen and tips to keep it healthy and make it grow. My hair had reached shoulder length but the ends had heat damaged and lots of split ends, so I trimmed it about a month ago taking about 1 1/2 inches off and it's already almost reached back to shoulder length, which is really good! So right now with me the most important thing I want for my hair is to keep it healthy and less breakage. I also want to protect and grow out my edges. Length of course is important but I know that takes some time, and that will come with healthy hair but I would love thick hair. I'm still a newbie at all of this and will need lots of help. So lets help each other out ladies!!

P.S. I'm a newbie at this blog thing too so be patient and I will be putting up photos often :)

Annoying

I have a cousin I haven’t seen in forever & he’s in town visiting his gf who goes to the same university as me. He has recently been poppin up at my house unannounced, he stashes his weed in my house, comes over with random ppl to smoke in my garage, and is constantly asking for rides everywhere. I need to think of a nice way to get him to stop without blowing up in his face.
